Yarrow is a native perennial plant in the Pacific Northwest, characterized by its flat-topped umbelliferous clusters of white flowers that bloom from April to October. It features delicate, fern-like leaves, is drought-tolerant, and attracts beneficial insects, providing winter habitat when its stalks and flower heads are left standing. Attracts butterflies and bees, making it an excellent choice for pollinator gardens. Long history of medicinal use for many things, from tea for alleviating the common cold to use as a poultice to staunch bleeding. Typically grows between 1 to 3 feet tall. Thrives in well-draining soil and is adaptable to poor soil conditions. Sun to moderate shade.
