Black very tasty fruit slightly smaller than Bing but firmer. Has some resistance to cracking. Very productive and consistent bearer.

Pollination: Needs any other sweet cherry as a pollinator to produce fruit.

Time to productivity: 2-3 years depending on conditions.

Ripening time: July to early August

Pests: Keep cherries pruned low and cover them with bird netting to enjoy a pristine and easy harvest.




Large dark fruit, similar to Bing, some resistance to cracking. A hardy, early, and reliable bearer. Van cherry is pollinated by all varieties except Bing. Zone 5-9.
