The little known sibling of Cosmic Crisp® from Washington State University’s apple breeding program. Developed from a natural cross between Splendor and Gala, Sunrise Magic® has a delicious crisp, juicy, tart flavor that sweetens as it stores. It naturally keeps an incredible texture during storage and rates as an excellent keeper. This pinkish-red/yellow apple is great to eat fresh or keep.
USDA Zone: 4-9
Pollination: Needs a different apple as a pollinator to produce fruit. Gala and Splendour will not work.
Time to productivity: 2-3 years depending on conditions.
Ripening time: Late September to early October, fruit will keep on tree for a long time.
Storage length: Up to 8 months.
