A crisp, sweet and tasty Asian pear with fruit that will store up to 4 months. Shinko will produce in the first or second year after planting and will typically bear fruit every year. Yellowish white flesh and golden brown skin, this variety is fireblight resistant and partially self-fertile. Plant with a compatible variety of Asian pear or European pear for increased yield. (Many European pears are compatible pollinators for Asian pears).

Pollination: Partially self-fertile but should have a different Asian Pear with a matching bloom time to produce the most fruit. Shinko and Olympic/Korean Giant pollinate one another.
