Will produce annually, starting 1-2 years after planting. This variety has some tolerance to fireblight and is highly productive of excellent quality Asian pears.

Pyrus pyrifolia ‘Olympic’ (Korean Giant)

Olympic, also known as Korean Giant, is a large-fruited Asian pear that produces massive 1–2 lb fruit with crisp, juicy flesh with a rich sweet flavor. The fruit ripens in October and stores exceptionally well, keeping for many months under proper conditions. Trees are vigorous and highly productive, bearing reliable crops of high-quality pears beginning early in the life of the tree. This variety also shows tolerance to fireblight.
