Prunus persica

Frost Peach is the peach you can grow to perfection in rainy cold climates! It shows excellent disease resistance and will ripen fruit where other peaches fail – namely the maritime northwest. These are delicious yellow-fleshed semi-freestone peaches. It came from a seedling at the WSU Mount Vernon testing station. Thin the fruit when it is small for best results, this tree will overbear if not thinned. Plant in the warmest, sunniest place you can. Shelter – such as the eve of a house – is helpful, as is a stone wall or other source of reflected and stored heat. Good airflow is also important to peach tree health.
