Peach, Oregon Curl Free

Prunus persica

A good disease-resistant variety for our rainy Pacific Northwest climate, where peaches are notoriously hard to grow. As its name states, Oregon Curl Free Peach is resistant to peach leaf curl which can be crippling here. Productive semi-freestone with large juicy fruit of yellow color with an orange blush. Use fresh, bake or preserve. Plant in the warmest, sunniest place you can. Shelter, such as the eve of a house is helpful as is a stone wall or other source of reflected heat. Good airflow is also important to peach tree health.
