The Nova Elderberry is an easy to grow, beautiful and medicinal plant, pairing well with the other American elderberry varieties for pollination and to stagger your harvest. Grows to about 6'. Berries produced on first year wood, so heavy pruning is common and recommended. You can choose to cut the bush to the ground each winter to control its size and each year it will produce fruit on the new growth. Used for everything from cough syrup to making a divine liqueur.
