This excellent perennial herb can be easily grown as an annual in the Pacific Northwest, or planted in a pot and brought inside over the winter. We get large bushes each year from an early summer planting. Lemongrass loves heat. An amazing and multi-use herb. Native to India, Sri Lanka, Burma, and Thailand. Sometimes referred to as East-Indian lemon grass. It has a characteristic purple tint to its blades.
