Description
Prunus avium Delicious, almost purple, large sized cherries. Lapins is a disease resistant and self-fertile variety from British Columbia. Very productive and a reliable bearer, it is bacterial canker and crack resistant. A great orchard or home variety for Western Washington and the NW. USDA Zone 5-9 Pollination: Self-fertile. However productivity will always increase when a second variety is present. Time to productivity: 2-3 years depending on conditions. Ripening time: July to early August Pests: Keep cherries pruned low and cover them with bird netting to enjoy a pristine and easy harvest.
