Black Gold Cherry is a highly productive, disease resistant, firm and deliciously sweet black cherry. It is late blooming to avoid late frosts and was selected from the Geneva New York Fruit Testing Program in 2001 from over 400 seedlings, based on its superior qualities.

Pollination: Self-fertile, but planting with a second sweet cherry as a pollinator will increase fruit.

Time to productivity: 2-3 years depending on conditions.

Ripening time: July

Pests: Keep cherries pruned low and cover them with bird netting to enjoy a pristine and easy harvest.
