Marionberry. Renowned for its rich, earthy flavor and large, deep purple-black berries, Marionberry is a vigorous trailing blackberry developed in Oregon’s Marion County. It combines the sweetness of cultivated berries with the complexity of wild blackberries. Excellent for fresh eating, pies, and jams. Trailing canes benefit from trellis support; tie to horizontal wires and prune to maintain a manageable 6-foot length. Space plants 8 feet apart or closer. Hardy, self-fertile, and resistant blackberry rust. Thrives in full sun with well-drained soil.
